Normally, with the Quick LD editor, the insertion of a new block leads to an "empty" blank block to be inserted. Then you have to double click on it to select a type of block. If you add the following entry to the ISA.INI file, ISaGRAF will automatically open the block selection box each time a new block is inserted:
